The foundations mission is to empower and inspire at-risk youth in Los Angeles by teaching skills to help them in their everyday lives, to reduce stress, to help them develop healthy minds and bodies and to build positive attitudes towards themselves and others. The P.S. I Love You Foundation believes if children develop strong emotional, physical and social well-being skills early in life, this can prevent these children from growing up depressed, violent, turning to gangs for support, dropping out of school, or using drugs to cope.
This grassroots foundation currently reaches over 700 at-risk youth a year.
In our 12-week yoga programs, children are encouraged to self-reflect and learn effective methods of dealing with stress and negative situations by learning proper breathing and anger management techniques.
Love4Life delivers programs during or after-school to create confident, conscious and compassionate leaders through a social and emotional learning (SEL) program teaching five core cognitive and behavioral abilities.
The Day at the Beach “Adopt a Child for One Day” is an extraordinary experience during which over 300 at-risk children are paired on a one-on-one basis with over 300 volunteers for a day of fun, sun and friendship! The purpose of our annual Day At The Beach Event is to bring the community together through an easy and memorable event that allows adults to mentor, give back and share time and hope with at-risk youth living in nearby communities like Compton, Watts and Long Beach.
